Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, with 35 years of family law experience. As a married father of four and grandfather of two, he is committed to the principles of family and the importance of the individual who finds themselves in the family law system.
Judge Hoskin serves on the Statewide Child Support Commission, as well as the Supreme Court's Statewide Family Law Committee; he provides education and training for law students, attorneys, and judges; and is praised by the NCJFCJ for his leadership as the Presiding Judge in the Family Division.
Judge Hoskin has been YOUR judge in Department E for the last 17 years; Presiding Judge of the Family Division of the Eighth Judicial District Court for 4 years; initiated the review and overhaul of the guardianship system; worked tirelessly to improve the law and practice of law throughout his career.
As part of my commitment to the community, I will continue to lower the cost of litigation through efficient case management; I will focus on the individual circumstances of each case prior to ruling; and I will manage my caseload effectively to ensure timely justice for everyone.
